Both approaches have their specific applications and advantages and are used in different phases of system development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bottom-up approach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The bottom-up approach starts with the smallest components or building elements of a system and gradually adds their weights upwards to determine the total weight of the system.
