The TGM Lightweight Construction Academy
Specifically for engineers who deal with the mass properties of parts, assemblies, systems and the overall weight of vehicles, or who need to manage, control or predict mass properties during the design process of industrial products.

Goals
We empower engineering professionals to design and implement lightweight solutions that drive innovation, improve efficiency and promote sustainability.
Knowledge transfer
Educate participants on the principles and importance of weight management and lightweight construction in various industries (automotive, aerospace, rail, etc.).Skills development
- Practical training in calculation tools and software for structural analysis, weight optimization and material selection
- Teaching techniques for integrating weight management into early design phases
Innovation
Stimulate innovative thinking by learning more about case studies of successful lightweight projects and participating in expert discussions.Focus on sustainability
Providing tools and strategies to achieve a balance between performance, weight and sustainability goals.Business and strategic orientation
Informing participants about the economic effects of weight management and lightweight construction (e.g. fuel savings, cost reductions in logistics).
Program
The Academy's program is designed in such a way that participants can complete the modules alongside their professional commitments.
Two afternoons per week
The TGM Lightweight Construction Academy is designed as a mixture of training and consulting, with training on one day and consulting on the other.
Lectures, practical training & quiz (1.5h)
On the first day of each week there are lectures and training sessions that take place in the late afternoon and include quizzes, interactive games and multimedia elements such as animations and videos to support and enhance learning.
Q & A with the experts (1h)
Two days later, an "Expert Talk" and a discussion will take place. This is an open consultation where participants can ask specific questions about the challenges facing the industry and current projects with certain components. During this session, possible solutions are discussed together.
TGM certificate
After completing each module, participants receive a TGM certificate.
