With the holistic lightweight design approach developed by TGM, which takes into account system, structural and material lightweight design effects, the weights of sports cars can be reduced in the early development phase, even if time and cost budgets are available. Additional weight savings can be generated through lightweight construction effects due to more installation space and better load paths. The overall costs for lightweight construction could be kept constant.

- Up to 180 ways to save weight found
- The weight of the vehicle reduced by around 90 kg
- A combination of primary and secondary weight loss effects helps to reduce weight even further
- Achieving "jumppoints" for brakes, suspension and crash system can lead to further weight savings
