This time there is a lightweight piano in our lightweight garage, which was on board the airship LZ-129 Hindenburg. This is the sister airship of the airship LZ-130 Graf Zeppelin II recently presented in another article. Both airships were almost identical in construction, had very similar flight characteristics and were both very luxuriously equipped. This garage houses the autonomous landing and navigation module from the company PTS, also known as ALINA. This is a lunar module for transporting up to 100 kg of payload. However, the module itself cannot be launched directly from Earth, but requires a launch vehicle for its journey to Earth orbit. The concept is designed to support all common rocket models, such as Falcon 9. Once in Earth orbit, ALINA can cover the 380,000 km to the moon itself and land on the moon.

TGM Special: Concept Carbon Heat Exchanger

Typically, heat transfer systems for air cooling in the automotive sector are designed as metallic finned heat exchangers with focus on corrosion and media resistance. This design generates a large transfer surface within limited package, but the materials currently used result in an increased dead weight, which is also leads to heavier surrounding structures. In most vehicles, integration of the function into existing structural components is not possible due to the material and the design.
